Refund policy

RETURNS ON CUSTOMISED PRODUCTS/SERVICES.

Due to the custom nature and speciality of these products & services, we do NOT accept returns, but will repair any defective components as per our 1 year guarantee. (See Guarantee Policy for reference

We do not offer refunds on customised goods as each product & service is unique and bespoke, which is agreed upon by the consumer and business. The cost of the product and service is a combination of our time spent, along with our products/stock that have been inversible modified for your customised specification. 

This is aligned with the government guidance on custom/bespoke products. Our products/stock will be demonstrated to the customer to ensure that we can show they are not faulty upon installation/delivery of product.

Non-Refundable Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of your total balance is due on checkout of your customised goods. 

The remainder of your payment (if applicable) will be required in full prior or on collection of goods. 

Road Legality for Customised Lighting

If you have additionally selected components of the build that are for show use only (underglow or changing colour lights for example), they are not for use on the public highway. You can only display WHITE for DRL, parking lights, side lights, low beam and high beam to the front of your vehicle. You can only display amber/orange to the front of the vehicle for the indicators/hazard(warning) lights. All other colours are illegal on the public highway, and are only permitted on private land or show use only. 

For any new or existing legislation being updated/implemented we take no responsibility for the bespoken build you have received. You as the vehicle owner will do your own research or get in contact so we can support you should you be using builds for daily use and not just for show use. 


RETURNS ON NON-CUSTOMISED PRODUCTS.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at support@customautomotivelights.com. 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that if your country of residence is not United Kingdom, shipping your goods may take longer than expected.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we may evaluate the issue and make it right.
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items, customized products or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 3 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 3 days for any reason and without justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. Your return must be returned in the same packaging as received and wrapped in order to prevent transit damages. Additionally, the product(s) must be returned as it was sent out. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
